Happy Valentines Day!

by Matt Stratton on February 15, 2010

Carrie came up with a great idea for Valentines this year for our family. We’d take pictures of the boys looking super cute in red outfits, and she’d use those photos to make her valentines with. We had our photoshoot last weekend, but as you can see, sometimes it’s a bit of a challenge to work with such young models…

Balancing carefully....

Henry's slipping!

Oh no! Henry!

And now they're both down

Despite these challenges, we did end up with some fun photos. We sent them off to be printed at Walgreens, and I got a little bit of an ego-boost when I went to pick them up.

Walgreens Photo Employee: We almost didn’t print these, because they looked like professional pictures, which we can’t print. But then we saw a couch or something in the background, so we figured it was okay.
Matt: I’m flattered that you thought my photos were professionally shot!
Walgreens Photo Employee: We’re not allowed to print professional photos.

Besides being great photo subjects, the boys are doing great. They’re as fussy as ever, but healthy as can be, which is what we like to see. Carrie is actually going to be taking the two of them down to Florida next week to stay with Nana and Papa for a few days. And all I know is that means five nights in a row where I get to sleep!

For your viewing pleasure…here are the rest of the Valentines Day photos, professional or not :)

Lol, that made me bust out laughing “and now they're both down”. Ha ha!

Awesome pictures, I love their little mickey mouse ears hat. At least, that's what it looks like to me. And they have quite the personality in their pics.

And congrats on having your pics be considered professional. Win!

Stop with the super-cute pictures already! You're giving me babyitis (and I can't have that, because Ben is definitely my last, and my daughters say they'll NEVER give me grandchildren.)

Stop with the super-cute pictures already. You're giving me babyitis. I can't afford to have that. Ben's definitely my last, and the girls tell me they're never going to provide me with grandchildren.
